• Crocs censored - is this necessary?

  Hospital staff in Wales have been told they can no longer wear Crocs while at work due to health and safety fears.
  

• Should visitors be expected to fill the elderly care gap?

  Head of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), Dr Peter Carter, has controversially suggested that relatives should fill the elderly care gap, citing lack of nurses as the main reason. But is this really the responsibility of relatives, and is there any value in this other than acting as a band aid to plug the gaps in the health service?
  

• Is it wrong to strike?

  Millions of workers have signalled their support for walk-outs in protest over pensions. They will join a national day of action on 30th November. David Cameron has branded it "criminal", but the trade unions are bracing their workers for "the fight of their lives." Is it ‘criminal? Should your loyalty to the public sector override your own needs to strike?
